Campaign Focus: Safety and Community Engagement
Visibility and Community Engagement
Empowering the Community
Darryl plans to ensure that the Patrol Division actually patrols each community in our beautiful expansive county.
Comprehensive Training
Fostering community safety and trust is at the core of Darryl's campaign. This is prioritized by making sure each member of the Sheriff's Department has solid, practical foundational training. Upon taking office, all aspects of training will be evaluated and restructured to best serve the needs of our county.
Values-Driven Leadership
Bringing Accountability Back to the Office
Darryl's campaigns deliver transparent and impactful messages that resonate with the community, driving positive actions and fostering open communication. Through clear communication of values, the Sheriff's Department will better serve as the community's peacekeepers.
Jail Functions and Programs
Caretaking Inmates Constitutionally
The Sheriff's Office has a moral and constitutional obligation to safely hold those who are incarcerated and awaiting court proceedings, as well as those serving sentences for convictions. Programs designed to improve community and inmate safety will be implemented immediately. The flow of drugs into what should be a secure environment has to stop.
SRO Program Revision
Protecting Our Most Cherished Resource
The School Resource Officer program should be staffed with the best the Sheriff's Department has to offer. Deputies that are trusted with safeguarding the next generation and their educators is of vital importance.
Transparency and Open-Door Policy
Inspiring Trust and Unity
The Sheriff should be accessible to the citizens of Campbell County. Darryl will be available to the community, both in the office and at community events during his entire term - not just the months before election.
